Today, I found out that absentmindedly correcting my boss's use of the word "whom" could result in my immediate termination. FML

I hate when people think that they cant be corrected.

I may not be an expert in proper English, but, shouldn't there be a comma and not a period before, "badly?"

You definitely deserved it. Way too trivial to be corrected on something like that.

If you haven't figured out that correcting a person who can terminate your employment is bad idea, then you deserve it. maybe they'll hire someone more intelligent, *******.

He's more intelligent than a person who kicks midgits.

At least you dont have to worry about getting fired when you slash his tires.

I wouldn't be surprised if OPs boss just wanted an excuse to fire OP

stuff like that made me not be a grammer nazi. i just learned to bite my tongue =/

I find it interesting that the OP decides to correct his/her "boss's" use of whom but doesn't even know basic pluralization rules...

It's still wrong, though. The correct way to write it would be " boss' ". Also, that really sucks. FYL.
