They are making a meowntain out of a molehill.
You guys can cut it in half! It's the perfect solution! You'll only have to feed your cat half as much. Also less litter to clean!
Thank you, King Solomon.
I have been notified that if cut in half, the cat will die. Then you don't have to feed it at all!
Where did you even get the cat which you claimed was yours?
Well, I guess the cat wasn't complaining about being with you.
:/ well that sucks. I'm sorry. but hey at least the cat was taken care of and was in safe hands :)
That's a YDI if I ever saw one. I highly doubt this would've happened if you acted like a responsible human being and put up 'found'-posters around your neighborhood to see if the cat already belonged to someone. Did you just assume the cat was a stray and decide to keep it without even thinking about whether or not there was still an owner around? I feel bad for your neighbor, not for you.
That isn't the only way OP could have found the cat
How is it OP's fault for not putting up "found" posters when clearly the owner never gave out "lost" posters? If you've lost your pet don't you check with your neighbours first and put up flyers around your own neighbourhood? The guy thought he was doing a good thing, give him a break.
I guess it's entirely impossible that OP did in fact put up posters and the first owners didn't see them or ignored them. or maybe the first owner didn't care about the cat. or even that the cat came to OP's house multiple times before OP decided to keep it. yeah, it's just easier to assume OP is an asshole that just stole the neighbors cat.

that's an awkward conversation. at least the kitty was in safe hands and very close.
And ur neighbor never found out ?
