Today, I learned I have over $10,000 in debt, despite never owning a credit card. Apparently, my ex-roommate had been replying to the credit card offers I was receiving in the mail. That also explains my missing driver's license a few months back. FML

Well, FYL and YDI, since you don't check your bank account regularly. Also, I strongly believe that before marriage, people shouldn't (...sleep with each other? naaah :P) exchange bank account information! It unfortunately suffices for her to know your account number to make some purchases (see plane tickets) but I thought she'd need hold of your credit card for putting one in debt? Why would you give it to her? Unless she is unfit to work, I don't see any reason for this (kids and being a SAHM not considered, even though a lot of women choose to support themselves even if they have children).

Wow. Did she go on an ultimate shopping spree or something?? If so, then she must be a total girly-girl. Okay, how about this: You get a 2nd job (if you don't have a 1st one, then apply for 2), and make you girlfriend get 2 jobs if she doesn't have 2 already. But that could be tough due to Obama shattering the economy. Well, best of luck anyway!
