Today, I found out that the girl I tutored in high school in basic ENGLISH just received her PhD in Biophysics. I am now the manager of a McDonald's. I was also the Valedictorian of our graduating class. FML

LOL #1. You do know that Biophysics doesn't have that much of a correlation to English, right? You should get up and DO something about your situation instead at looking at what others are doing.

It depends on the field. I'd say that a PhD in biophysics will definitely land her a job. A PhD in English literature? Maybe not.

Well all other things being equal, you will do better with a PhD in English Lit than a just a GED.

Life doesn't always work out how you want it to. Even if you have the intelligence and grades to push forward, you have to make that push. Even if you do everything right, sometimes things just don't work well for you.

just putting it out there I am a pre med student and I sucked at English as well everyone has their strengths and weaknesses as well however can't really say FYL cause you potentially could be saving up for higher education but FYL if the case is you are stuck at MCD and they other person is a doctor
