So? Einstein failed math and ended up doing well for himself.
No. http://physics.about.com/b/2007/09/19/physics-myth-month-einstein-failed-mathematics.htm
Oh god you must have been so smart that you could help someone study English. Wow. you must have felt so great about yourself and so sorry for that poor, poor girl. :| What a dick. Shows yet again that high school smarts prove very little (in the States, anyway, sorry but it's true) and that being valedictorian means absolutely nothing.
I got the impression that the woman was American, but didn't know basic English, not that she was a foreigner and had English as a second language. If it is the ESL case, then it's a YDI. If it's that she couldn't even grasp basic English even though it was her first language, then FYL (even though you still can't really blame her for your lack of drive.)
Well, if you're so concerned about it, I would suggest that you stop wasting time on fmylife and maybe go to college. It's not her fault that while she worked her ass off, including getting tutoring in a subject that was not her strongest, in order to pursue her dreams, you were just arrogant enough to assume that being valedictorian would ensure your future as a successful person. You have no right to be angry with her, you should be happy for her.
what on earth are you bitching about? because someone else who needed some help in English became more successful than yourself? it's her drive that got her where she is today, and it's the drive through that got you where you are today. set higher standards for yourself. you probably smoked too much weed in college and lost a few years.
Somebody ****** up in college.
Last time I checked, if you need help in a subject, you get a tutor. You should be proud, obviously you did your job well. Quit being a Jealous Twat about it, and Make me a Big Mac, Whineybutt.
hahahaha dude you just completely roasted on the op... cyber high five!
NOT a FML! They REALLLY need another button for entires like this! OP should be PROUD that someone she tutored was able to keep going with their education to get a PhD. It MUST have been GOOD tutoring! It MIGHT be a FML if she said 'Today I saw a gal I tutored in HS, digging in the trash of the McD I manage and eating half-eaten burgers.' Nahh, not even that is a 'FML'. I don't even want to think of how much the PhD'r has in student loans... And Bio-anythings don't get to take home free happy meal toys.
It is never to late to go to colledge. You have more potentail then to be a manager at McDonals. It's not to late to turn your life around, but this is your fault because you didnt take the chance to make your life better when you could have. So, you deserve it.
It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge. It is never to late to go to colledge.
# 187: You're my new favorite.

LOL #1. You do know that Biophysics doesn't have that much of a correlation to English, right? You should get up and DO something about your situation instead at looking at what others are doing.
at least you're manager and not an employee :D
