Today, I got a new computer because my old one crashed, deleting all music, photos, and documents. I still had all my music on my iPod though, and went to sync it to the new computer. By accident, my younger brother pulled the cord out before it was done, deleting all 3,000 songs forever. FML

that's nothing. i lost over 50,000 songs when my roommate loaded my computer up with viruses like the idiot he is. i was amazingly angry.

Well, you could try, like, copying them. Thumb drive, external hard drive...? Unless the songs themselves are infected you shouldn't have a problem. Of course scan whatever device you use to copy them with whatever virus scanning software you have on your new computer before actually copying them over.

Wow, only 3000? It'd take a while to download but not that long, assuming you didn't buy the music legally. It could've been worse and I'm sure it has for some people.

Totally! It happened to me once too....except it was more like 12,000 songs :X (and no, I didn't buy them all before anyone asks! lol)

Yeah, um, plexi... Someone is going around burying nearly all of your and my comments. Not just the offensive ones, but all of them. Probably someone one or both of us showed to be an idiot via comments. Not sure. Whoever it is is a loser even by internet entertainment standards. =) It's fine though, everyone clicks on the buried ones. Thanks, jealous person!

Guys (and gals): what about me? I'm a regular here too, and I often fire off sarcastic replies every once in a while. My fave reply was with the one where the guy said he jumped into a pool, and heard his phone going off in his pocket, so I told him it was a YDI for not putting it on silent first. Come on, that's comedic gold!

I call fake: 1) You are unable to sync from the iPod to the PC using iTunes. 2) A computer "crashing" doesn't somehow delete everything.

You get a CD with Itunes on when you get an Ipod. So it would be possible to Sync. But I don't know anything about computers.

Since when do you get a CD with iTunes on it when you buy an iPod? The last time I checked (and this was very recently because I just got a new one) all they gave you was instructions on downloading iTunes off of the apple site.
