My regrets for your cat and you. You feel terrible, I think, but you should not feel guilty. Unless you fed the cat wrong or did smth bad to it earlier. The roommate of my friend has knocked a cat with the door once. It has gone blind on one eye. They began to argue, who should drive it to the vet. And while they argued, the cat has died. Here it is the real reason to feel guilty and FMLived.

Oh My Gosh The Same thing Happened to me Except My Cat kept Meowing Like he was in Pain Or something But I didnt understand what He wanted So I didnt Really Listen, later That Night He looked Pale and would not move So we Took Him to the Vet and Turned out Some tube Or something was Blocked So He could Not Urinate anymore and that he was In alot Of pain and It was too late to get the Surgery he would die anyways So We had to Put him to sleep. This all Happend Two years Ago On Valentines day :(

I can't believe the people who are saying the OP deserved this. Losing a pet is incredibly painful, and she's probably already feeling very guilty about it. The truth is that sometimes you are too busy to give your pet attention every second of the day. My cat is very social, and always asking for attention. Sometimes you need some alone time. Cats can take care of themselves. And anyway, even if you could argue that it was completely unfair or unjustified to push the cat away, that doesn't mean that it's deserved for the cat to die. That's like saying "Oh, you were unfair to your child? I hope it dies! You deserve it!"
