Today, I joined a dating website and spent all day filling out and improving my profile. My first match is a guy who relentlessly tried to date me for all 4 years of high school. Now he just has more reasons to tell me how much we're meant to be. We're a 97% match. FML

why don't you just give him a chance? at least get to know him if you haven't yet.

You're lonely enough to join a dating website; no one is below your standards now. The only lower you could possibly sink now is a Craigslist personal.

The OP strongly reminds me of a girl I went to school with. For 3 years, I tried my hardest to show her that I was the man for her, but she constantly ignored me, telling me that I wasn't her type. Recently (11 years later), at my high school reunion, guess who I ran into? That's right... and she walked up to me, telling me that she saw when I walked in the room, complementing me on how good I looked and all, and asking me if I was seeing anybody. I told her she wasn't MY type and walked off.

What was she like after 11 years? If she was still hot then you kinda cut off your nose to spite your face there. You should have gone back to her place, had a fun night, then in the morning told her that she's not your type.

Boohoo a woman didn't want me, she's so horrible..

You should just try. Maybe he's changed. Maybe he got a six pack. You'll never know 'til you try. :D

Three percent more and it would have been meant to be.

If you joined a dating website then it doesnt sound like you really have alot of options. You'd honestly rather date some stranger on the internet than some guy you know has been intrested in you for years?

What's wrong with meeting people online?I met my boyfriend on facebook, and now we're living together and talking about gettin married. Regaurdless though, the OP should give him a shot. What's the worst that can happen? They'll have a bad date and realise they weren't meant to be?

why don't you just give it a go? you two will probably be perfect for each other lol

Op, u sound like an asshole, give him a chance

What if she already knows she is NOT interested. What it if failed to mention something big that is a deal-breaker for her, such as drug use? She has every right not to be interested in someone. No one gives every single human being a free date or two. Jesus. If she doesn't want to date him, she shouldn't date him. If there's just no chemistry there, then that's that. She doesn't owe it to him.

awww u should give the poor guy a chance! who knows? :)

give him a shot, maybe he's been right all along
