He sounds like a creeper. Stop listening to all the people who are like "give him a chance! give him a chance!" Don't. He obviously can't take a hint (I assume you bluntly told him you didn't want to date him as well). Just because you're "matched" 97%, doesn't mean you're compatible at all. A guy is saying "we were meant to be!' prior to even dating throws up some red flags.

I'm sorry, maybe we should stop pretending to ourselves that we're really looking for someone that's logically compatible and suitable for a serious relationship, and just admit that we're indulging in selfish and childish romantic fantasies and a narcissistic need for admiration.
