Today, I proposed to a girl I'd been in love with for 6 years. I filled the balcony of the building where I'd first laid eyes on her with innumerable roses and, under the starlit sky, I did it. She later posted on facebook 'OMG. This geek I knew from high school did the FUNNIEST thing today'. FML

I'm confused. Were you two at least going out?

Were you two dating at all? Or did you just decide to propose out of nowhere with no prior relationship history?

I'm assumuing you weren't even dating, since she said "some geek from high school". In that case, that's creepy. Really creepy. Some random guy she knew from highschool just randomly proposed to her without any prior relationship history...Seriously? Think before you act, moron. YDI big time.

aaaww! I'm sorry. that wasn't very nice of her. you did a very sweet thing. :)

she could mean geek in a cute way..?

She wasn't even your girlfriend? You hadn't even been on a date? Are you.. stupid?

I agree your life sucks. I mean to be so dumb as to do that....well....it makes me quit believing in natural selection. Cause if your that dumb, you should be dumb enough to forget to breath. Yet your alive and posting about your sorry excuse for a life....I pity you...I truly do.

I think you meant: I proposed to the girl I was stalking for 6 years with an over-the-top romantic gesture (of course, it was a total surprise since she didn't know me that well at all). She did not reciprocate her feelings and later posted a rather snide remark on facebook. FML.

buddy u definitely deserved this one. sorry that you got your feelings hurt but who the heck proposes to someone they weren't even dating (well, at least in your post, you didn't indicate that you were dating her). you should be glad she used "funny" to describe that moment cause there are a lot more adjectives out there that also could've been used to describe what you did that are a lot less friendly
