Today, I received a detention because I threw up on the school nurse who wasn't going to send me home. According to her, stomach ulcers are not a true health issue, so there's no reason to leave. FML

I've had this ulcer for over a two months. I randomly get sick from it when food has too much spices on it. The lunch today was spicy though you couldn't see the spices on the outside. I took one bite of it, threw the rest away, and within a few hours I got sick.

Lawsuit to the school and/or get her fired. Actually, in these dire economic times, you should probably just get her reprimanded; otherwise, it may be too cruel to make her lose her job.

Daamnnn. I would've tried to throw up a second time just for good measure. Besides, I'm sure you could protest a detention. It's not like you have control over what comes flying out of your stomach. Even if you did have to go you could always make really sudden gagging movements in the general direction of whoever has to monitor the detention...

damn school nurses! a while back ago they sent me home for coughing....teacher complained an said I was disturbing the class? really!?!? lol and they can't send u home for throwing up

I'm a nurse and worked in a school for many years and I know for a facted she can (and should me) fired and could even face suspension as nurse and not be able to work till the case is reviewed.

I'm suprised an FML from her didnt surface on here, but in which case everyone would say she deserved it, If you havnt already served it you can pretty much have your parents call in and say its bull shit, the deans office is a bunch of ******* when it comes to angry parents atleast thats how it was when I was in high school
