#53, um...the shift-key is not missing as far as I'm aware. At least not on mine, but mine's a year old so that could be true for the new ones, however, there would be come sort of replacement such as an up arrow.
Fail comment. He was flaming the parent poster for lack of capitalization in his post.
Mine doesn't make much sound but the trick I'd to always turn it off when you leave the house.
So it overheated? It probably just shut itself down. This is not an fml at all, just a fail of your computer knowledge.
overheating can damage the cpu, motherboard, graphics card....
Modern computers have temperature sensors and are programmed to shut down automatically if things get too hot.
So? Either it shut itself down or the OS crashed and it cooled down anyway. Buy a Scythe CPU cooler and an arctic silencer for your videocard if you don't want to burn your fingers on watercooling. They're silent enough for your mom, I guarantee.
See, that sounds like it's coming from the mind of someone in the generation that simply looks down on teenagers as ignorant, choosing only to follow stereotypes and the stories on the news that follow the stupid teens that give our generation a bad name. The public school system as "failed these kids," as you say, due to YOUR generation voting "No Child Left Behind" into effect time and time again, as it came up for renewal. This act has actually dropped the amount of education the schools can teach. Second, there are a large number of posters here who do know what they are saying, teenagers as well. Yes, there are idiots, but there are some in every age range, writing them all off as teenagers only encourages such behavior. OP, listen to those backing up their recommendations with facts. Yes, you can go to jail, but only if you have been subpeonaed. If you are simply being asked to testify, and the case hasn't gone to court yet, meet with not only your fathers lawyer, but one of your own. Cut a deal so you can issue a statement, but not testify. You can remain neutral, and still avoid jail and testimony. You CANNOT plead the fifth in this case, as has been proven, nor do you have the right to remain silent. Miranda laws are only for those arrested.
wtf r u talking about
This person is on the wrong post, he is replying to that one about the son who is being forced to testify in a lawsuit his father filed against his mother. There is a gaggle of idiots over there telling him to "plead the 5th" or "the bill or rights doesn't let you testify against your parents". This person is trying to defend a generation while dispensing sage advice but, unfortunately, doesn't know enough about how to use a computer or navigate that "INTERWEB thing-a-ma-jig" to get it to the right place. Good stuff!
:P dont you think your in the wrong FML?
I wouldn't listen to #4. He thinks todays chips are carbon based and not silcon.
YDI for illegal downloading. Seriously, what else makes it run that hot while you're away?
lol wtf? downloading illegal files has nothing to do with overheating. Have a game on while you're away will cause the computer's temperature to rise. Downloading files uses much less resources.

lmfao, its more FHL.....unless she refuses to pay for it.
Aww man. That sucks. I hope your mom is going to help pay for a new computer.
