Today, I saw a cute girl working register at my regular coffee shop and politely asked the her for her number. I was brutally rejected. A few minutes later, a douchebag with a popped collar approached her with a cheesy pickup line and left with not only her number, but a free frappe. FML

Lets all be realistic for a second. The likely chance that this guy is ugly as sin and probably fat is why she rejected him. However, thank you for posting sir. It made me laugh.

On the one hand, you may be a perfectly nice, relatively good-looking guy who hasn't done anything wrong and maybe the girl is just horrible. On the other hand, you could be incredibly nasty and ugly, with your idea of 'polite' being different than other people's, and this guy could have been a real charmer. I didn't mean for that to sound nasty, but sounds like to me overall that OP is trying to be nice but isn't being completely rational about it, the girl is a bit of a bitch, and the other guy is indeed a bit of a douche, but could possibly be a perfectly nice guy too.

Could it possibly be that this girl/op are young...still in college, doing the best they can at this point? Most people don't just plop into an adult career. At least she is working.
