Today, I used my inhaler for the first time in a year. As soon as I took a puff I felt something strange go down my throat. Upon closer inspection I discovered there had been a spider living in the mouth of my inhaler... and I had just swallowed it. FML

Did you swallow the spider to catch the fly? I don't know why you swallowed a fly. ...Perhaps you'll die.

If that happened to me I would have to use the inhaler so I wouldn't have an asthma attack! FYL :(

YDI, you should have checked. Plus, inhalers expire after a few months.

that's disgusting! One time I had an earwig in there, but I never swallowed it! I've checked it every time I've used it ever since though lol

Hey...statistics show that you swallow at least 2 spiders a year in your sleep. This just means you will get extra protein! But don't feel bad. I've found bugs in my inhaler too. That's why I check them before I use them. Lol.

Auuugh, that sucks. To everyone whining about inhalers expiring after a few months - my salbutamol (ventolin) inhaler expires in 2010, and I received this one in early 2008. Not to mention all the ones I have owned prior for the past 10 years running have had the same 'shelf-life.' Plus the top end of the inhaler is open where the tip of the canister pokes out, so the cap really does nothing but keep the mouthpiece clean.
