YDI! Dumb ass, watch where you're shooting. People like you give the rest of us with guns a bad name. Besides, rabbits are easy to trap, and trapping doesn't mess up the meat of the fur.
275, I think "what has America come to" is a little melodramatic. Further, it's entirely possible that the people you are complaining about are vegetarians/vegans, and thus your statement about people doing worse things to animals so they can eat is invalid. And even if they're not, killing an animal for food is completely different from killing an animal for revenge. The first scenario is a semi-necessary evil, while the second is just retarded. Also, having seen what we have of this guy's aim, I think it's safe to say that whether he *wanted* to torture the bunny or not, inevitably he would have had to shoot it five or six times before it did the trick.
I have two gardens, one is fenced up, and the other is left out for the rabbits. They're also really good for eating my dandelions. But even if a rabbit was to eat my entire garden, I wouldn't starve OR get angry. As for mice and bugs, I use humane traps for the mice and set them free, and I'll be honest, I let the ants, spiders, and a few other bugs crawl through my basement. I just make sure it's as clean as possible. As for the people bringing up mosquitoes, I let them take whatever they want, but I tend to stay away from sugary things and they avoid me.
The OP was not killing the animal for food. He was killing it for revenge, as he so idiotically stated. So those of you using protein as justification for this should seek another angle. OP- How does it feel to be less intelligent than a rabbit?
"275, I think "what has America come to" is a little melodramatic. Further, it's entirely possible that the people you are complaining about are vegetarians/vegans, and thus your statement about people doing worse things to animals so they can eat is invalid." Neither you nor I know if everyone being a whinny bitch about the situation is vegan. Therefore, this statement affects you as much as it does me. "And even if they're not, killing an animal for food is completely different from killing an animal for revenge. The first scenario is a semi-necessary evil, while the second is just retarded." So basically, it's OKAY for you to kill an animal in order to eat it. But it wouldn't be OKAY for me to kill it because it's destroying my garden? Okay, hypocrite. Killing is killing. And killing a rabbit isn't nearly as bad as some are making it out to be. "Also, having seen what we have of this guy's aim, I think it's safe to say that whether he *wanted* to torture the bunny or not, inevitably he would have had to shoot it five or six times before it did the trick." Spoken like someone who's never used a gun. It depends on the gun he used and the size of the rabbit. Trust me, it would have died almost instantly.
""""""people like you absolutely disgust me! its horrible that you would honestly take the life of another animal because it ate your ******* PLANTS! omg its the most horrible thing in the world! **** YOU BASTARD AND ROT IN HELL"""""""""""""" And apparently I was being melodramatic. In this country, attempting to kill a rabbit is apparently the most horrible thing in the world...........

Not only did you try to kill it instead of just relocating it, but you tried to justify your shit aim with 'the bullet missed' instead of 'I missed'. This one calls for a YDI unfortunately.
Sounds like a Tom & Jerry episode.
