Today, I was a TA for a history class and the class was taking a test. About halfway through, I noticed one kid had a small piece of paper in his hand. I ran up the row, grabbed his test, and ripped it into four pieces. Then I took the note from him. It said "I believe in you, -Mom." FML

my mom used to write me notes before huge test and trust me they make you calm. if you did that to me i would have punched you so hard you would have flown back three rows.

excuse my harshness here but i feel sorry for any college student who needs help from mommy to calm them down on their test. you're in ****** college, not 3rd grade. (assuming the kid wasn't in some sort of accelerated academic program; either way i hate them too, but only because their smarter than me and 2/3 my age ) :)

#314 well aren't you the friendliest douchebag I've come across. So you hate people who are smarter than you?....so that would be...everyone right? Because clearly I have a feeling EVERYONE in the world is smarter than you. So what if the kid had a note to give him confidence? I know some adults who lack confidence and just need a pick me up sometimes. So what, a wife can't give her husband a note because he's a "grown"up? Use your ******* head. Point is, kid shouldn't have had a note, and the TA shouldn't have overreacted and ripped up the test. The TA is NOT allowed to rip up tests, I have never heard of a TA ripping up a test, and I should hope that I never hear nor see it. The professor is the one who instills the punishments, not the TA.
