You deserved it. I feel no pity for someone that's fat, and eating McDonalds. Sorry, but it's true.
Woah woah woah. Wait a minute now, is it YOUR business who eats at McDonald's once in a while or not? I go there occasionally to buy 25 cheeseburgers, no one should really be judged for eating at McDonalds a few times. You need to get your head stuck free from the ass so you can spout less shit probably.
Not everybody is fast because of poor eating. there years ago, I was 300 lbs because of a medical condition where my body dumped nutrients & stored fat. once I got it properly treated, I lost 125 lbs. I was teased HORRIFICALLY all my life for it & having been there, I don't auto judge obese people. I lived it firsthand though, so I wouldn't expect everyone to have the same insight as me. :)
I find your attitude quite disgusting. If this FML was about op being fat yet still eating loads of unhealthy food then I would have little sympathy, but no one deserves to be called names by a stranger for no good reason. OP was just buying a meal, I'd love to know how ******* perfect you and that cashier are that you can comment on everyone else's lives like that
So fat people can't eat junk food...because they're fat? Only skinny people are allowed to indulge in take-out...because they .happen to weigh less than those who are overweight? What is this scale of "fatness" based on? BMI? The physical appearance of a person? A survey? Is there some sort fatness scale a person should stand on before entering a McDonalds? Do people who are fatter deserve more insults from the staff than those who are only mildly overweight? Is there some sort of ratio of "burgers to fatness" a person has to abide by before getting kicked out of the store?
I'd hate to see what you'd say to a fat person at a gym.
Illneverletyougo - Do you realise just how stupid a comment has to be to Keevarou (probably the nicest commenter here aside from Cinn) to curse you out? Congratulations on finding just that right level of idiocy. Nicely done.
And I have no tolerance for ignorant and arrogant kids such as yourself. Your parents must be so proud.
Where in OP's post did it say OP is actually fat? Some people who are within ideal body weight get judged as fat due to the observer's attitude that people should look like anorexic stick figures. OP should contact the corporate offices and complain of discrimination and harassment, regardless of his/her weight. The employee and manager were out of line.
Usually the 'medical problem' is obesity. Caused by laziness. Cure is getting off your fat ass and doing something productive. Seriously though, a person being overweight is very rarely from a medical condition, it's usually because they eat too much and move too little.
#13- When you pack on your freshman 15(lbs) will you update your profile picture? I can't wait to see you eat your words.
Whether OP is fat or not, them buying McDonald's food contributes to that cashier being paid. If no one ate it, they'd be out of a job, so I don't see room for comments and/or complaints.
And one of the leading causes of heart disease is inactivity. Yet you don't see anyone mocking or insulting those who have a heart disease. You don't see people telling those who have a heart disease that they are lazy, or disgusting, or pigs, or any of the other awful words that fat people get. You don't tell them to get off their lazy asses and to stop being disgusting slobs. (Ok, some people probably do...but I bet they say it a lot nicer than they would do to an obese person!) I guess it only matters if their food/exercise related problems show on the outside. If someone is skinny and lazy, I guess it's ok for them to eat McDonalds because they still look good...even if they secretly have problems with cholesterol or diabetes But if they're fat and lazy AND happen to enjoy McDonalds? LET'S RIDICULE THEM AND MAKE THEM FEEL BAD FOR EXISTING! HOW DARE THEY HURT MY EYES WITH THEIR FATNESS! HOW DARE THEY ENJOY FOODS THAT AREN'T FROM JENNY CRAIG OR WEIGHT WATCHERS!
*hands Ameel a beer* Dude, welcome to the rant club!
*takes beer* Thanks! :D
Good, now it's time for a quiz. What's the first rule of rant club?
My mother is morbidly obese and even though she did it to herself I would kick anyone's ass who called her fat. How is she any less of a person because of her weight? It's ignorant, judgmental idiots like you that make the human race seem doomed.
I can see it now "McDonald's settles out of court. 1.5 million dollars for calling an overweight customer a fatass." Sorry I got no sympathy for you here. Kanye's new workout plan, get there.
It's plain rude though. He may be fat, but what kinda person goes around insulting fat people? Just because someone's fat and buying McDonald's means they deserve horrible comments? Still a human being who deserves respect. It's his body, no one else's concern.
14- you must be perfect with no faults of your own. Op may not even be fat. What if they are the average weight but they do not look anorexic so the cashier called them fat? And even if op was fat, it is completely uncalled for and rude to comment on it.
well, what do you expect here, to pity you that you're fat? yeah, offending someone is not right, but I'd be ashamed to even mention the whole situation in public - if I were you.
OP has nothing to be ashamed of. Because their weight, their health, and their choice of food is nobody else's business. Especially not some asshole working behind the counter of McDonalds who thinks it's ok to insult the customers based on their physical appearance. They're the one who should be ashamed, and OP has every right to complain to the manager about it.
Two were not enuf to embarrass you that you decided to share it with hundreds? You expect pity, you will end up being pitiful.
Write a letter to corporate. I'm sure they see MUCH BIGGER people in there. its mcdonalds.
It was rude and there is no excuse for them. They insulted a customer who in the end pays part of their salaries, and for this they deserve to get fired. However, people very rarely insult a stranger without reason, no matter how twisted this reason is, so you could take it as a hint.
People insult strangers without reason all the time. What planet are you living on? Besides, judging others says nothing about the stranger and everything about you. I'd rather be overweight than some insecure little asshole who has to sling insults at customers to make myself feel better.
YDI for being fat, fat ass.
The fat phobic comments on this post are almost as sickening as the original FML. I wasn't expecting much more since the internet is wrought with trained chimps typing on computers but damn... This world is cruel and yes, f*ck your life, OP.
I favorited this FML simply to see the ignorance of the people trashing overweight people. It's like a train wreck. I want to look away, but can't & what I'm seeing is a tragedy.
It's just so insane to police peoples' bodies and decide what is healthy for them and what isn't. Skinny doesn't equal healthy and it's frightening to me that many people treat fat folks like they're aliens.
exactly. I'm 5'10, 180 lbs (yes, I put my weight here) & I can sprint up hikes while my skinnier friends are gasping for air. I'm the faster than them, but I'm fitter. That's why judging is unfair...Well, one of the many reasons. Lol.
thats when I would ask to talk to an owner or someone in a higher position, and complain to them and file a complaint

I think it was the 4 Big Macs, 3 large fries, 8 apple pies, and 2 ice creams that tipped them off. Oh, and the Diet Coke.
No matter how big OP’s order really was and no matter whether OP is obese or not, the comments by the cashier and his manager were simply unprofessional.
