Well maybe you should try setting a good example for the child you're babysitting and speak correctly, especially if you have the ability to know when you're speaking incorrectly - i.e. your honours program remark. And good for that little girl for being so smart, and for correcting you! You could learn a thing or two from her. And next time, you could ask, "Have you got your bag?" That's actually correct, and you get to use the word "got". ;)
a speech impediment should have nothing to do with the kid's grammar skills. Double "you deserved it."
if you say "do you got your bag?" you dont deserve to be in an honors program, or in college. Really, people in kindergarten know better. and if your said it because she had a speech impediment, then i agree with #13 and #55
"Do you got your bag?" Seriously? You! Out of the honors program. Now!
YDI for grammar fail. Haven't you learned anything from the grammar Nazis on FML?
That'll learn you.
