Why cry? (1) call the health inspector in on them (2) sue for unlawful unemployment or bargain to get your job back by threatening to call the health inspector if things don't change Thanks OP for making it safer for all of us to eat outside of our homes. FYL indeed, but you have leverage, use it.

Uhm, wow, okay, YES, I did read the FML correctly, but she's not the FDA, she doesn't work for the health department, she works at a catering service and if you say something wrong you'll get fired. That's life.

just because you dont work for the FDA, does not mean that you cannot judge unsafe conditions in a work environment. and that is bull that you got fired for that. think about where you go to eat, you better hope that there is someone that would stand up if they were serving food sub par and if they saved you from eating food that could make you sick, i bet damn well that you wouldnt want them to be fired because the boss is a cheap asshole. common!!

also the FDA has no jurisdiction in Ireland. I've been fired for calling the health dept because my boss refused to throw away rotten meat after I confronted him about it. don't care, I did the right thing.
