Today, I was on the way to traffic court for a $340 speeding ticket I'd got. My mother called me and I wasn't paying attention which caused me to speed. Right past a cop. When I told the cop where I was going, he started laughing at me. I now have another $300 ticket. FML

So first you were breaking the law by speeding. And then you broke the law by answering your phone whilst driving. And finally that resulted in you not paying attention and speeding again. Exactly how do you NOT deserve the ticket? In fact, get the hell off the road before you kill someone. YDI.
