Today, while chatting with my in-laws, I told them about my upcoming spinal surgery. Soon after, when I went to get us some drinks, I overheard them murmuring about how many surgeries I've already had, how I'm a drain on the healthcare system, and how I should ideally just die. FML

well, he IS young. you cant blame him for his ignorance.kids say some of the craziest things.hopefully you live for another few decades to show him up and teach him some things a long his ride in life.its not fair to remove him from your will. like i said, he is just a kid;young,stupid and ignorant. im not against kids, i love them, but they do share those qualities.

Jeez, what is your problem? Why would it be so horrible for an older person to go on FML? For OP: I'm sorry, that must really suck, if the kid is younger than 7, well, he doesn't really know what he's saying bu if he's older he deserves a good punishment. It's just plain disrespectful and mean to say something like that. I love my own grandpa more than anything in the world and I wouldn't even think of saying something like that to him! Like many of the commentors here, I would leave him absolutely nothing in my will and definitely have my will be publicly read, after making sure it's also in my will that this son-of-a-bitch's presence is required. Besides, everyone dies eventually, so what's the point of him saying something as rude as that?
