Today, I was watching the movie Frozen with my 8 year old daughter. I had seen it before, so I sung along with some of the songs. My daughter put a finger over my lips, said "Shhhhhhhhut the fuck up," then turned back to the TV, giggling. FML

"Who sings that?" "The girl from Frozen!" "Yeahhh, let's keep it that way."

I'm a cashier and saw a kid about 9 or 10 tell his dad "**** you" when he wouldn't give him a quarter for the quarter machine then stormed off...the sad part is, he got his quarter eventually. Don't be that type of parent OP, please

This is a perfect example of when discipline should be applied.

YDI for not teaching her not to use the word, and YDI for singing along. It's annoying as hell, especially when someone is trying to watch the film the first time.

Congratulations on failing as a parent OP! You'll get your "Worst Mom Ever" mug in the mail.

I wonder how many people are putting there advice out there without actually having kids. She may have taught her daughter manners and respect and the girl has learnt the Fbomb at school or whatnot she may have seen someone laugh at a child when they seen that. Therefore she may have thought she too would get a positive reaction. Don't be too quick to judge. But yes I hope she followed up with a chat and some tough love.

I'd say it's a safe bet the 8 year old knew what she said was not okay because she was giggling after. With no idea it was impolite, there would be no reason to find it funny.

That's when you turn off the movie, wash her mouth out with soap, and send her to her room. A firm talking to about respect and asking nicely along with a grounding from her favorite things is in order.

I'm sorry, but that was "****"ing HILARIOUS!!! ?

I giggled when I read that.... The shit kids say...
