I'm so arachnophobic that I would have had a major panic attack as soon as I found out it was in there. They probably would've had to sedate me and remove it immediately.

It's definitely possible. Reading this brought back the memory of when a spider crawled into my ear, waking me up while I was sleeping. It camped out there for over twelve hours. The only good thing about that is I didn't know what the noise and feeling was in my ear all day until it finally fell out onto the ground. I just shuddered myself, totally not a pleasant experience.
