Today, I went to a fast-food joint and ordered off the $1.00 menu to save money. Five hours later I go to the hospital with food-poisoning. After a whole day of not eating, crapping, puking, having tests, and a bunch of IV fluids, my $1.00 burger ended up costing me $2,000 in bills. Really. FML

Today, I went out to eat to celebrate getting over the stomach flu. I hadn't eaten solid food in over a week, so I was really excited and ordered my favorite dish. It gave me food poisoning. FML

Today, I had a stomach bug, but despite it I swallowed a mouthful of habanero sauce on a dare. I ended up projectile vomiting on a wall outside, lost my sense of balance and fell over on the sidewalk, almost blacked out from the tightness in my chest, and had to refuse an ambulance that somebody had called. All for $5. FML

Today, after months of avoiding fast food, I decided to eat some McDonald's french fries. Though the fries were delicious, they were not worth the agonizing 15 minutes I spent on the toilet afterwards. FML

Today, I had horrible pains in my stomach area so I went to the doctors. They couldn't find anything wrong and sent me to the Emergency Room for X-rays. After spending the entire day in the hospital, they tell me I'm slightly constipated. I had to pay $400 to find out I had to take a shit. FML

How can it cost that much?! Don't you get free health care? :S Also...if it was food poisoning, surely you can sue the fast-food company? Seeing as it was their food which made you ill. Because you have the proof against them...claim your money back?

#20, buying your own food is cheaper than going to a fast food restaurant. The OP probably bought 3 things off the dollar menu, $3. If they had gone to the store and bought some bread and some deli meat it would have cost around $5, but that food could fee them for at least 3 days.

It's probably $24,000 he means, my grandma got a $37,000 hospital bill couple days ago, but insurance covered almost all of it so hope you have some damn good insurance, **** McDonalds!
