Today, I went to a fast-food joint and ordered off the $1.00 menu to save money. Five hours later I go to the hospital with food-poisoning. After a whole day of not eating, crapping, puking, having tests, and a bunch of IV fluids, my $1.00 burger ended up costing me $2,000 in bills. Really. FML

Today, I went out to eat to celebrate getting over the stomach flu. I hadn't eaten solid food in over a week, so I was really excited and ordered my favorite dish. It gave me food poisoning. FML

Today, I had a stomach bug, but despite it I swallowed a mouthful of habanero sauce on a dare. I ended up projectile vomiting on a wall outside, lost my sense of balance and fell over on the sidewalk, almost blacked out from the tightness in my chest, and had to refuse an ambulance that somebody had called. All for $5. FML

Today, after months of avoiding fast food, I decided to eat some McDonald's french fries. Though the fries were delicious, they were not worth the agonizing 15 minutes I spent on the toilet afterwards. FML

I agree with anyone who's said that you should sue to restaurant. They should make sure that their food is safe for the customers to eat. In this case, since they didn't and you went to the hospital, I think it's safe to sue.

I just can't believe a $1 burger could be anything but rat. At the very least it would be the stuff swept of the floor of the meat place. You need to sue or file for bankruptcy.

btw wouldn't a story like this $1 burger costs $24 000 be on the news or in the papers or something? If not and it's true it should be. I don't like to be skeptical but I live in a country with free health care.
