I'm sure that was the only reason... In comparison to the average guy, the average female *is* high maintenance. Typically it's the constant need for reassurance/etc that really drives us guys nuts. Females typically see anything that isn't functioning 100% the way they believe it should as broken. Typical guy process: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We define broken as "no longer working at all". However, if he isn't showering/performing at least some modicum of personal hygiene, then just refuse to get close to him until he does...that sobers most of us guys up pretty quick.
