Today, my boyfriend called and told me he had a surprise for me and to meet up with him to find out. The big surprise was a consultation with a plastic surgeon for rhinoplasty surgery. I never disliked my nose. FML

Today, I went to a plastic surgeon's office with a friend. The doctor walked in and before he could look at the consult papers, he started explaining the liposuction procedure to me. I had to interrupt him and tell him that I was only there for support for my friend's nose job. FML

Today, I came home to tell my parents about my new nose job I got about a month ago. My mom always told me I should get one, so I didn't tell her right away to see if she would notice. I was home for about 20 minutes before she asked me, "so when are you getting that nose job?" FML

If OP was just bitching about her boyfriend teasing her about her wonky nose, I'd agree with you. However, there's a big difference between being honest and being honest in such a potentially offensive way.

87- Agreed. I think if I was op, I'd be pretty hurt and offended. If the boyfriend went out of his way to do this, what else is he going to find wrong with his girlfriend? Either you love somebody for who they are, or you don't. I'd kill my husband if he did this to me! lol

SURPRISE! I hate your nose! That was what he was trying to tell you. He probably thought it would hurt your feelings to tell you directly. Be careful... he will probably try to make you believe you OWE it to him to get a nosejob, and he will use it as a bargaining chip: "Well, if you won't get the nosejob will you_________" (fill in the blank with any typical things guys want their girls to do that the girls don't want to do.)

reject it.. even if you hate your nose. I had to have a mandatory septoplasty, and another procedure to remove scar tissue. both hurt like hell, and even a year after it still hurts a little.
