The fact of the matter being we need to know more information before making any assumptions. Maybe the boyfriend did something to deserve it for all we know. Maybe it was after 12 or whatever time the father approved of being home, and then again maybe the dad truly is crazy and wanted to harm him. We can assume none of this however from the information provided

Your dad needs to get some help, OP. That is far from an appropriate reaction and it actually encourages girls to date the wrong men. My parents let me choose for myself. I have only been intimate with one man, and I am STILL with him. My classmate growing up, however, had a dad just like yours...she had three kids before grade 11. From different fathers.

sounds like a pretty good dad. I've had different versions of that happen to me. its usually just a scare tactic. if the kid doesnt have bad intentions, he usually doesn't have anything to worry about.
