"Hey you know what's funny about Justin bieb..." *Crash!!* "That'll teach you sonny!!"
You really should have more respect for elders and not tell them rude jokes. He deserved it! After she got done I would've smacked the crap out of him for disrespecting my grandmother and for embarrassing me by showing what a dumbass he is with no class!
Rude jokes warrant assault? That's bizarre...
Depends on rude it was!
I'm willing to bet your grandma isn't all there. This is a very typical reaction of a person with dementia, such as Alzheimer's or Lewy Body, when feeling threatened or anxious about being confused. If that is the case it will be very difficult for your boyfriend to press charges. Look for other clues that Granny is having difficulty, especially if she is living independently. Good luck, OP.
"I have nipples Greg. Can you milk me?"
One word should make your desicion so much easier: Inheritance
Your grandmas side !
Family! Tell him not to charge

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your grandmas reaction to the problem. That's the problem.
Well, your boyfriend seems like an asshole for wanting to press charges, however granny didn't need to hit him over the head with a vase. Perhaps everyone can sit down and settle things like adults? Hopefully this will teach your boyfriend to keep his rude jokes to himself!
