I think its adorable and original, besides maybe he couldnt afford it. and if he can afford it maybe he wanted to wait to pick out the ring together. but then again, im not the type of woman that has always fantasized about a wedding or anything, and maybe you did but you still deserve it for not ever making it clear to him what you wanted. p.s. did he atleast get your favorite flavor??
Whoa everyone, calm down. Wanting a real ring doesn't make her shallow. Wanting a more romantic place doesn't make her a bitch. Wanting a more normal proposal doesn't make this a chance to bitch her out. It's just as likely that this super-cute and cheesy-romantic proposal could have been really terrible and poorly executed. We didn't see how he handled. I agree as much as anyone that the zoo and a ring pop candy could be pretty god-damned adorable - and if that's the case, cast your stones at the OP all you want. It also could look incredibly crass and just downright rude if the guy doesn't do it right, so I could also see why the OP would think FML.
Or let me word it this way: the zoo and the ring pop are two elements in the cute proposal, but they do not, by themselves, make a proposal cute. That job rests on the guy. Zoo + ring pop + adorable guy = sweet proposal. We know nothing about the guy, so we have no way to gauge if this proposal was sweet or not, so everyone should stop calling OP a superficial bitch unless you somehow know this guy personally kthxbai.
Amen, seriously.
its the zoo and a ringpop. at least you know you're married life will be fun and full of adventure. plus the economy sucks. your engagement ring is now dual purpose. colorful decoration and tasty snack. how many women can say that?
well thts still cute and touchin..its the thought tht counts..if u sed yes he wud get u a betta ring neway..mite not be like 20 carats or wateva nonsense..but tht doesnt matter.. doesnt matter where he proposes neway..
geez, way to be a selfish bitch. thats sooooooo adorable. i'd wanna be proposed to anyway other than him simply getting on his knee. your boyfriend is obviously a sweetheart.
Aww, that's adorable... And you should be excited, he proposed! But you're focused on the ring being a ring pop, which was a cute gesture.
i could only wish i was so lucky to have a boyfriend who was willing to go out of his way to propose to me. Now to have a boyfriend who made it fun and unique and even a tasty ring pop, thats something many young women would be willing to give their left arm for. If you dont want to marry him, im sure you could introduce him to a few women on here.
I think that's cute. I love the zoo, how perfect! Just hope he does really get you a ring, or that's shitty.

Not gonna lie... that's really cute. I hope you said yes.
