Today, my boyfriend was extremely nervous to meet my parents but I made him do it anyway. One of the first things out of his mouth was, "I'm glad you had sex." When they gave him a look of shock, he added, "You know, when you made your daughter! She's awesome!" FML

I agree, I probably I deserved it for making him go, but we've been dating for a year and a half and I figured it was way passed time. Haha! It was extremely awkward and my boyfriend I were both beet red in the face, but luckily my parents are awesome and know he was super nervous, so they just kinda changed the subject and pretended that was never said. My brother high fived him. And yes.. more like F his life.

My parents definitely would have laughed at this. Knowing my pops he would bring it up every single time. Great to know they didn't take it to the heart. Hope you guys make it.

It's true, after a year and a half dating, you should have met the parents of another. And the first time meeting your boyfriends or girlfriends parents will always be awkward and exciting, if it happens after the first two weeks or after three years of dating. But he broke the ice quickly :D

First time my fiancé met my parents he was helping us move and he locked the keys in the Uhual. My parents still tease him about it, in a few years it'll just be a family joke.

Awkward phrasing, but the sentiment was sweet. Glad it was something that could be laughed off. Lot of op's post stuff said around the parents and bf meeting that are just horrible or something they did around them that really makes you wonder.
