Today, my ex-boyfriend called my parents to let them know I broke up with him. He was sobbing. FML

It's ok for a real man to cry every now and the.ln. I cry whenever I hear Nikki Minaj because she's famous and I'm not.

Sounds like he's a bit too immature to be in a relationship.

Oh, would everybody stop posting crap about how he should grow a pair? Guys are allowed to have emotions too! Or at least, they should be ...

Yea but you don't go calling your ex girlfriends parents because she breaks up with you.

Wow! He clearly respects your decisions if he's trying to get your parents to feel sorry for him and MAKE you date him Honestly why would you want to date someone who doesn't want to be with you? What a self centred creep Ps a similar thing happened to me once- he called my mother and threatened to commit suicide

Wow OP, you dumped him, he's crying out of pain, and you expect us to say "F*ck YOUR life????" Yikes, you have quite your fair share of entitlement issues and are a little narcissistic. It's no surprise that you two's relationship didn't last- my estimate is that no guy is ever going to be good enough for you. If a guy is willing to commit, I bet you will always feel "uggghhh there's someone better out there who will at least talk to me or hook up with me" and then go after him; in a continual cycle. If you do ever get the maturity to just commit and settle down with somebody around your level, and overlook his flaws just like he overlooks yours, then I commend you.

Why did you break his heart?

Most people are upset over break ups, and he's allowed to cry just like any other human. I'd find it worst if he wasn't upset, at least you know he cares about you.

Maybe they were in a very serious relationship and its hard for him to get over it?

Usually the sobbing part is the other way around

I don't know why everyone is judging him so badly, my sister broke up with her bf and we've all been hanging out with her ex, we feel sorry for him, he's such a nice guy, Maybe her family have grown close to him.

You gave him your parents number?.. You definitely deserved this

Because it's apparently impossible that OP's parents and ex could have actually exchanged their numbers themselves. And I don't understand how OP would "deserve it" even if she was the one that initially gave him their number (which, if it even happened, probably occurred BEFORE they broke up). OP gives no indication that she even gave it to him, so way to assume things.
