Today, my friend and I were in her mom's car talking about which job was harder: actor or artist. I said, "Art is easy. You just scribble on a piece of paper and call it abstract art." Her mom squinted at me in the rear-view mirror and my friend stopped talking. Then she said, "My mom is an artist." FML

Today, I was interviewing a woman for a job. She told me that she may need days off because of her artistic son. I jokingly replied, "Does he color on the walls or something?" She then stared at me with a weird look on her face. Autistic, her son is autistic. FML

Today, I was partnered up with a girl in my art class, since the teacher had asked us to take turns drawing portraits of each other. I went first and felt pretty proud of how the drawing turned out. I showed it to her and she said "That's OK. I'm not good at drawing either." FML

Today, despite me being a master-level carpenter, and my art sells for thousands, I heard my mom telling her snobby friends how embarrassed she is of me because I’m “basically unemployed” and waste my time on “hobby crafts” like a teenage nerd instead of getting “a real job” and finding a wife. Ooh that sucks. The same kind of thin happened to me before. These people were taking me somwhere and asked how I liked this one teacher, so I said he was fun but just an okay teacher (an understatement because she doesn't really teach at all), and it turned out that she was their relative. But good job for speaking your mind.

I think the original question needs more detail. Harder in what way? Both acting and artistry have different skill sets required, and some people will be more adept at one naturally than the other. Plus to confuse things, acting can be described as an art, and there are several types of artists. So the whole argument is kind of convoluted.
