Today, my friend decided to come clean to his parents about his pot usage. He told them that he did it with me on many occasions. His parents decided it would be the right thing to call my parents. Thanks a lot asshole. FML

and by the logic of many people here, when you smoke weed you aren't putting much risk to anyone but yourself, and even then not much, but its illegal so its SO bad and wrong. When you get drunk you not only are putting great risk on youself, but others around you. But its legal so hey its all good right?

exactly! LEGALITY doesn't equal MORALITY. lawmakers have a lot of different reasons for making laws and they dont' always have your best interests at heart so you can't go by laws to determine right and wrong -- you have to figure it out yourself. do the research, find out both sides of the story, try it if you really to be able to judge for yourself, and then do what's right for yourself. but dont' judge others and assume they are fat/lazy/stupid/ignorant just because they made a different choice than you.

For all you retarded idiots, weed is illegal because of flashbacks. After smoking a joint and you THINK you are now sober, you aren't. Up to a month after a joint you can still get a flashback (randomly getting high since the pot smoke is stored in the fat of your brain) while your driving with kids, at your job or anywere. That's one of the reasons it's illegal because it can randomly impair your judgement in the worst place and time.

what are you talking about? i have never heard of this in my life, and i have been an avid smoker for years, and so have many of my friends. i have done extensive research on the effects of smoking weed and have never come across this. maybe you are confusing it with LSD, which MAY cause flashbacks (scientists still aren't sure). if you have reliable scientific information that weed causes flashbacks please provide it and i will gladly read it. but honestly i think you're full of shit.

Uh-huh... the smoke in your brain! How did I not think of that one? a) THC does not cause flashbacks. Not gonna cite sources - you didn't either. b) THC does get stored in your body, but the possible effect is nothing described as "flashbacks"

THC is stored in fat, which is why you can piss a positive test up to a month after smoking. However by then it's pretty much useless, it's not gonna get you high. The idea that the effects from smoking are going to carry over that long or pop up randomly is an old myth, for the purpose of scaring people away from marijuana, a generally harmless drug.
