Today, my husband and I found out that our daughter's chronic stomach aches are due to gluten intolerance, so we need to cut all wheat out of our diet. We're bakers. FML

Why do you have to cut it out of all of your diets, instead of just your daughter's? Also, it's possible to bake gluten-free food.

It is possible to have gluten-free flour, I believe. You could even specialize in making bread for those who have intolerance of gluten.

Gluten intolerance isn't do bad. It's way healthier and will be a great lifestyle change for you too. The fact that you're bakers will make it much more affordable if you bake your own food too! It's a blessing in disguise

Jus a new part of the market for u to venture into!

Sadly, you cased your daughters intolerance. There are tons of healthy and yummy things out there for her to eat. Try searching "Emril's gluten free pizza dough" or something. And if you own a bakery? Great! You can make lots of cash if you sell gluten free breads/deserts! Best of luck to you all.

I have a gluten allergy, it sucks. but my while family still eats it

Celiacs disease is just coming out to the mainstream. My wife has it and since switching to her new diet, I have lost 35 lbs!!

I got diagnosed with celiac a couple months ago and even though it sucks at first there are really a lot of good gluten free foods. This could give you a chance to start making gluten free food for your bakery or whatever which will hugely attract other people who are intolerant to gluten.

umm I have celiac and it's actually very way to bake gf Living Without magazine has some amazing stuff and it doesn't taste like cardboard at all, I'm a baker too btw, udi's bread is fantastic and actually tastes good just toast it and captain crunch is still good for her as well, cook book called you won't believe it gluten free has some of the best pancakes I've ever had, but with baking stay away from potato starch and flour it's gummy I prefer corn starch it's light and fluffy and living without has the featherlight flour which makes a cake so normal you seriously can't tell the difference my friends never knew

Instead of feeling bad for yourselves, you should be thinking about your daughter, after all she's the one who has to go on the life-long diet.
