I know the feeling...my dad learned he was gluten intolerant about 4 years ago, and I recently learned I had it too. But the fact that you and your husband are bakers is a good thing, not a hindrance! Find some good, gluten free flour mixes, and make her own bread! It'll be much better than the store bought stuff(:
it's celiac disease. I have it and my parents are chefs. it's hard at first but it gets better trust me. it's not that bad
They change their diet too because if she keeps eating gluten it can make her very sick and possibly give her cancer and you wouldnt want to risk that but there is a high demand for gluten free bakers so if you pull it off you can make some money
As many have mentioned, why must you cut gluten out of your diet. It seems to me that babying her will cause her to believe everyone should not eat gluten because of her problem, why not treat her normal and just make her something else. Duh. And yes contributing to your customers by making gluten free bread is great, so glad your daughter could be such an eye opener for you. Thus is not an FML.
1: I agree... I work for bakers who do a full lie of gluten free products and they have a tiny small town bakery:/ so I don't see how this is bad other than gluten free products are little more costly:/
Just cut wheat out of HER diet! Why should you have to stop eating it?
I have gluten intolerance and I've eaten gf for about 2 years now. It's tastes AH-MAZE-ING. She's going to feel wwaaayyyy better when she gets the diet. And she'll be able to tell if the foods she's eating after she's gotten used to the gf diet have gluten in it.
Nope. just her diet. you can still eat it. i'm gluten intolerant and the rest of my family eats wheat.
Offer gluten free products at your bakery. I feel sorry for your daughter, you're obviously pretty dim

Why do you have to cut it out of all of your diets, instead of just your daughter's? Also, it's possible to bake gluten-free food.
It is possible to have gluten-free flour, I believe. You could even specialize in making bread for those who have intolerance of gluten.
