Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML

i dont get the "i name one kid, you name the other" mentality. why dont you just work together to find a name you both like?

"Make-believe cartoon character"?! Whoa whoa whoa, you've gone too far, there. Besides, it's a totally cool name, you must admit.

Kratos is an awesome name that symbolizes a great Greek god of strength. It has a good meaning and sounds cool. Though, coming from a female who would name her children after video game characters (because, somehow, people think only guys like video games that much) this isn't that unusual.

I call bullshit. Also, that's not as bad as Bus Seat No. 27 or Talulah Does the Hula from Hawaii...

#122 the Greek God of War was Ares, Kratos was God of Strength

atleast... well.. no there is no bright side, i think he might have a backup name just so he can keep kratos until the last second to mess with your head

Btw to those saying the kid would get stick for his name, what about girls named Diana? That name also comes from a Greek god. Btw the name Paul also derives from Apollo another Greek God.

There's nothing wrong with the name Kratos. It isn't just from god of war, it means "strength" in Greek. What's wrong with that?
