he needs a highface to the face , he seriously cant be that sutid..
I'm being the devil advocate's here SO: 1/ If you're eating junk food while pregnant, I'd understand that you're husband would tell you to lay off it (although he could be more delicate about it). It's not good for you and the child. 2/ It depends of how much weight we're talking about. Lots of pregnant women think that because they are pregnant, they can eat whatever they want. The results is that they will gain an awful lot of weight which is in the end unhealthy for both mother and baby. Ideally a pregnant woman should put on no more than between 2 to 2.5 american pounds each month of the pregnancy.
A pound (as a weight measurement) is the same regardless of your location. A pound of feathers doesn't weigh more in the UK than it does in the US.
32 - there are actually 2 different kinds of pounds: Avoirdupois pounds (what most of the world uses) and Troy pounds. The more you know! I'm not sure where the 2-2.5lbs per month comes from. Obviously you wouldn't be gaining weight at the same rate in first trimester as you would in 2nd and 3rd trimester. I've always heard 25-35 pounds total, but every woman is different so some might gain a little more and still be healthy.
That 2.5 lbs thing is not true, actually. It depends on the mother's body, the size of the baby, and a few other factors. Some people are encouraged by their doctors to gain more whereas some are encouraged to gain less. It's all about eating healthy. If you eat healthy, you will gain only what you need to.
the whole 'eating for two' is a myth. i read somewhere that you only need to eat extra during the first trimester, and the rest it's an extra banana a day. i also read somewhere that the average weight gain is up to a stone. so unless OP is eating horrendous amounts of junk food the husband needs a slap :P
i obviously got it wrong then :/ i just remember reading somewhere you just need to eat normally but have an extra banana. i've never been pregnant so i wouldnt know though
It's true. Woman doesn't have to eat more. I ate as before getting pregnant and had 8 and 9 lbs babies and always had some extra weight (few pounds) after pregnancy. I see women eating for two or three but what they eat - ice cream and bread and then they get very overweight and can't move - if they want to eat for two they should just eat more meat and vegetables -that's what growing baby needs.
Tape it on your stomach so he gets it. Insensitive jerk.

I suggest you tape the ultrasound to his forehead.
Sounds like you're going to have to point it out to him. Your husband doesn't seem too bright.
