Today, my husband was kind enough to hold my hair back while I was going down on him, but didn't have the thought to comfort me this morning while I suffered the effects of morning sickness. FML

Lol..... Your married, not a big deal. He'll get his one day.

Men don't get pregnant. At least, I hope they don't!

those pics are sooo original. >:D

It makes total sense. He'll hold your hair back when he is the immediate cause of your gagging and choking, but he doesn't care if it's the result of what he MAY have done a few months ago.

So true Perdix. I love your comments.

I'm just impressed that OP still gave ******** while pregnant!

well you shoulda been in the kitchen anyways,,,

That sucks and my sister's husband did the exact same thing once during her first pregnancy and he didn't get it again the entire pregnancy.

this exact thing happened to me too, until I stopped giving head, now he has no problem holding my hair back as I vomit lol. Just tell him no more head, he will straighten up!!

Some men may not be able to handle seeing people puke without puking themselves. A couple of my kids, if they see puke or see someone puking, will end up puking when they see it or try to clean it up. Myself, I can;t say how many times I have helped my wife when she was puking(but she can't comfort me, because she gags on it lol), but I know people who can't help because they would then puke

I think guys just have an issue with smells or sights cuz in my experience every guy I've ever known hubby included can't even do something so small as change a poopy diaper without gagging.

I disagree. I have seen people with their inards hangin out and it dont bother me. so far I have been able to master it all: blood guts puke baby shit the whole nine yards.

I would say your name explains it all!

#26 If you can't change a shitty diaper then you should not have a child. It's selfish to leave that up for only one parent. It's not like the one who changes it enjoys in the smell. It stinks just as much to them(you) too it's just that they(you) aren't immature.

I don't understand why so many women get so upset about no one comforting them while they vomit. Personally, I don't want anyone doing anything near me while I vomit. You can't help me me vomit, and I don't need an audience. I want to do what I need to do and get on with my day. Most men think the same thing and, thus leave you to it. It's one thing if you've got an illness that makes you to sick to get up and handle things yourself. This not the situation here.

Its the comfort aspect. Remember when you were a kid and were sick, mom or dad or even both used to lay with you and hold you when you were sick or throwing up, rubbing the back to try and sooth you. My wife likes the fact that I am there holding her hair out of the way(I am available) because really no one likes puke in the hair, and if they are puking, the last thing they really want is to take a shower after to clean the hair

#27 is right. Her husband probably assumed she didn't want him seeing her like that or something. If she wants him to comfort her and/or hold her hair back, she should ask. He's not psychic, you know. OP, FYL for having morning sickness. You have my sympathies for that. Oh, and #30 - a shower is a welcome thing after throwing up.

I don't want anyone messing with me when I'm throwing up. It isn't exactly my most graceful moment and I don't need a freaking cheerleader. Let me throw up, so I can lay down...then he can comfort me. Pregnancy isn't fun. I don't know why so many women do it then whine about it. Get over it or use protection.

"Pregnancy isn't fun, I don't know why do many women do it then whine about it"?! Wow what a dumbass thing to say. Firstly, no-one knows what pregnancy will be like for them personally until they are actually pregnant. Some people love it, some people hate it. And then some people can have different experiences during different pregnancies. I, for one, HATED being pregnant, which surprised me because I was looking forward to it so much. I would have slapped you if, when I was 8 months pregnant and barely able to walk, you'd made that comment to me. Even if i'd known then how much it eas going to suck I still would have done it because my little guy is 100% worth it. and yeah I whined, especially to the stupid people who told me how much they had loved being pregnant, or the ones who'd tell me that morning sickness isn't real and is all psychological as I'd be running to the bathroom to hurl up my breakfast. So crawl back under your rock, and hopefully you'll take your own advice and not breed.

Basically all you guys have shown that people are different, which I imagine we already knew. Maybe the OP's husband is one of those people who doesn't see the point in helping someone who's puking, maybe he can't stand the sight and smell of it himself without making matters worse. However the OP wants the comfort, so she should just tell him that, and if his only reason for not comforting her was that he didn't think she wanted any, then if she says different he might change his attitude. Obviously if he has a good reason for not doing, then I guess it depends how sympathetic he generally is towards the situation.

80: I did the whole pregnancy thing three times suffering from daily vomiting, fibromyalgia, and sciatica. My last pregnancy I dealt with gestational diabetes and my husband off on a tdy. I had our last child alone and yet I didn't feel sorry for myself. I did what other women have done since the beginning of time. Whining about it won't change anything. Why don't you do me a favor and not breed anymore so there are less people whining about how hard life is? Time to put on your big girl panties.

@99 surely everyone is allowed a little moan now and then. Im sure *80 didnt spend her pregnancy whining at everyone everday but instead had a little moan every now and then. Pregnancy is not an enjoyable thing and getting pissed at it every now and then is part of it, Theres no doubt that constant moaning by anyone is annoying but in the case of pregnancy feeling sorry for yourself should be allowed.
