Today, my lawyer threatened to sue me because I can't afford his bill, which he sent to me after getting me out of a lawsuit. FML

YDI. While there are some lawyers willing to help out for free, most still want to be paid for the time and effort spent reviewing your case. Unless your lawyer previously stated that he would work for free, then try to work out a payment plan. Most lawyers would be willing to do that. As long as they get paid right?
