That is so awful and must be such a breach of trust for you, a lot of embarrassment and anger. Your mother had no right to berate you for that and especially not to hit you with it. That is abuse. It is also subjecting your child to humiliation. I seriously hope you are okay OP and get some support if you need it. You have the right to ********** and your mother should talk to you respectfully and calmly if she feels the need to. She had no right to do that and I would say please talk to someone you trust like a friend, neighbour or authority figure if you want to as that is not right what she did.
