Today, my sister and I heard back from a job we both applied to. I had used the knowledge from my MBA degree to write a six-page essay for the application, while she just copied and pasted hers from a random website. Guess who got the job. FML

I have never heard of a job application that wants a 6 page essay!! No one in HR for the company is going to want to read through that shit, maybe 1-2 pages max, I think you just wanted to try and show off your degree while trying to sound too smart, and it back fired big time! Good luck next time, but I'm gonna have to go with ydi on this one.

Yes, because ratting out your sister is both certain to get you hired in her place, and sure to be a great story to tell at the next family gathering. "Hey, Mom, guess who got my sister fired from the job that she needed to pay her bills. Yup, me, that's who! Isn't that hilarious?"
