Today, was my 16th birthday and I was supposed to be surprised with a new car. I have overheard my parents talking about bringing it home tonight while I was at a friend's house. We snuck back to my house to see them bring my car home. All I saw was my Dad crash my new car into a street lamp. FML

not really a fml you have parents who would buy you a car for your birthday and i really doubt they wouldn't spend the money to fix it up for you

What your dad probably should have done was just park it in the garage or driveway, rather than drive it into a street lamp. Now it's all banged up...

more of a FML for your dad, not you. i didn't get a car on my 16th birthday anyways... and i'd have to agree with a lot of people here, you are spoiled, most people have to save up their own money to buy their first car.

Wow princess get the **** over it. Most kids don't get cars on their 16th birthday. Keep in mind that you'll probably just have to wait a couple days for it to be fixed. Big flippin deal! Can you even drive yet?

Oh jeez he accidentally crashed your new car that both of your parents went out of their way to buy for you on your birthday into a street lamp. I'm turning 16, and if im lucky, all im probably gonna get is a birthday card and a $25 gift card, and if i do i will appreciate it. If I were you I would run to your dad and make sure he's ok, not worry that your present is ruined. If anything he isn't going to just throw the car away or give you a wrecked car. How the hell do you think he feels since he just wrecked a brand new car? Grow up, stop being a spoiled brat, and be thankful your parent got it for you in the first place.

I didn't get a car when I turned 16.. I got one after I was 17, and I had to buy it myself, and it was a beater. I swear, spoiled kids these days...
