ktbird, your response is an important one and more people need to read it and take it to heart, but unfortunately we're a society of thoughtless assholes who believe that humans are the most important species or at the very least, the only ones that matter or have feelings. I wouldn't mind at all if there was some sort of catastrophic event that wiped out the human race, because at least then animals would have no one around to torture them for fun as they do now.

for ***** sake the humor is not in the fact that an animal was tortured/burned or whatever, but in the ****-tards who thought that was an acceptable way of eliminating a pest such as a skunk. And for me this is the kind of thing that you have to either laugh at, or hang your head in despair with the acceptance that morons like that live among us... mostly likely close by.

There are home-video shows on TV, in which people who are accidentally set on fire get displayed and mocked, and have the opportunity to win $100,000 to likely further finance the kind of stupidity that caused them to catch fire in the first place. If it weren't funny, these shows wouldn't exist. I think you know the answer to your question, whether you're willing to admit it or not.

actually one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life is where a moron on the internet set his face and hair on fire (for a short duration) while attempting to drink a flaming shot without putting it out first. So yes, this is funny. I will leave it as an exercise to the reader to determine if this is more or less condemning of us as a society than laughing at idiots who set other things on fire than themselves (i.e. skunks). Again, I am not laughing at the specific fact that a skunk was hurt, or possibly killed. But face it, worse shit happens to children each day in several third would countries... life is ****** sometimes. humor is a coping mechanism. Deal with it.
