Today, while my mom was out, I took the car out to CVS to get some food, even though I'm not legally allowed to drive. As soon as I got back in the car, my mom pulled up 2 parking spaces away from me. She didn't notice me bend down to hide... until I accidentally hit the horn in the process. FML

I stopped at "...even though I'm not legally allowed to drive." You're lucky that you didn't get pulled over, dumbass.

To be fair, this person may have simply misplaced her license. We don't know why she can't legally drive. Having said that, I'm not trying to advocate for the OP; it's still an idiotic move to drive illegally, whatever the circumstances.

Yeah, that, or she might have her license and just doesn't have insurance.

I believe in the states, if you're caught driving without proof of license, you can show it at your court date to get the fine dismissed. I think if OP says that she can't legally drive, it's more serious than not having the card.

It can be dismissed, but that doesn't make it any more legal. Like I said, I'm not advocating for OP, just pointing out that we don't know the circumstances. Driving illegally isn't cool, but there are definitely circumstances that would make it illegal to drive, yet don't warrant all the, "OMG ur the worst person in the world n deserve to dieeee!!!111! stop endangering every1s lyfe!" type replies. You can have your license taken away for not filing your taxes, and obviously it's not a good idea to drive anyway - but that's not endangering other people's lives any more that legal driving, and it's not anything I would think less of someone for.

Why would you feel the need to go grocery shopping if your mom was already at the store? Call her for whatever you need, which is probably not as important as safety. If your family doesn't have phones then get one. It's almost a necessity in this day and age.

funny thing is I lived and will live in Arizona again where your fml came from and I can see it happening in Arizona more than any other state
