Today, my doctor booked me in for an STI test. I was feeling confident until he explained it will involve having a catheter inserted into my piss pipe. He shook his head sadly and said, "Gonna be honest Steve, the pain's beyond belief." Great. FML

The only STD test I've heard of that uses a catheter is when you have a uti and the doctor suspects it's a uti. Catheters are used for urine collection. But really with a uti they can do a clean catch collection without a catheter. If I were you I'd ask WHY the doc needs to do that...

That's an ignorant statement. First of all you can catch an std even if you're monogamous if your partner is unfaithful. Tre: unprotected sex, how do u know he's not married? Furthermore the catheter could be to rule out a UTI. Sometimes they do the catheter to get the cleanest urine possible to avoid it being contaminated by your skin on the way out. Don't be so judgmental.

You must've had a stupid sex ed teacher too because condoms don't protect you from STD's. So whether or not he unprotected sex wouldn't matter.

96- Although they are not 100%, condoms do help protect you from STD's, that's another reason people are urged to wear them on top of helping to prevent pregnancy. Don't know where you heard they didn't from.
