Today, like every day since I was born, my name is Yarenis, pronounced "ja-ra-nees". For some reason, everybody pronounces it "your anus". FML

That must suck OP but I'm going to admit, I'd pronounce it the same way. The whole "y" being pronounced as a "j" would throw me off especially. People pronounce my name wrong too. They pronounce it as the guy version of the name instead of the female. Best of luck to you though!

That's a cool name, but spell it differently if you want to. My aunt's name is Robin but she decided to change the spelling to "Robbyn" a few years ago.
