As embarrassing as that is, it's great that your father supports and accepts you. There's nothing wrong with experimentation.

I think OP might be upset because his dad assumes this is just experimentation (which is okay because he had too), but that being gay was not okay. Just because he accepts experimenting, does not mean he accepts his possibly gay son. Or he could have been experimenting with drugs. I think people judge the situation too quickly sometimes

Woah, your dad rocks! It may have been a bit TMI but when you think about it, he probably got rather more information about your sexual habits than he strictly wanted to know too. That he tried to turn this into a bonding moment instead of making you feel ashamed or worse, totally flipping his shit is awesome.
