#13 Wrong! If you wanted to go into psychology, you would know that a bachelor's degree is only a stepping stone to more studies. Almost everyone in the physical health care field has more education and training than what you'd get from four years at a university. If you want mental health care to achieve parity (and I do), you are going to have to insist that the people working in that field are similarly educated.
a) Sorry, psych majors, but every moronic drunk bimbo from every college across the country obtains a psych degree with no trouble. It's not too impressive. b) Construction workers can make a lot of money, are incredibly knowledgeable in their field, and provide an extremely useful service. Just because it's physical instead of mental work doesn't mean it's somehow inferior. c) With that said, OP, that does suck, and I'm sorry. But this is no guarantee that you won't be able to find a well-paying job in your field (that is, after grad school). Also, good for you for volunteering. Luck!
hahahahaha thats awesome. look forward to your career options with a bachelors in psych.. get a real degree seriously, the courses might get a little tricky but where will that degree take you? takes you into a DOT uniform and a job working the jackhammer
Thank god I'm a Psychology minor!
EVERYONE majors in psych. Just like how nearly everyone takes Political Science as a minor because it's so simple.
I don't get it =(. So you have a degree in psych, and then a construction worker sais he has one too? How's that FML? Someone please explain, and is Psych PHYSICS? What is it short for?

Unless you're going beyond a four-year degree, psych is useless. This shouldn't surprise you as more psych degrees are handed out than any other concentration last time I checked.
You have to be willing to move where the job is. If you aren't willing to move, then yeah..you might end up there. I knew astrophys' and microbiologists working in an inking factory because they couldn't find jobs in the area.
