I used to get this at my apprenticeship, even though I'd be doing more hours than most of the full time staff I'd have to rush my lunch and continue to answer the phone even though I was on break, also meant I wasn't even allowed to leave the office for lunch. Apparently none of the other staff members on six times my salary were qualified enough to pick up a phone now and then.
Offer to go wireless, and you have a win/win situation on your hands. Then get a magic marker and put a big capital "L" on your forehead so the employment standards officer knows who to speak with when they visit the workplace
If you work more than 6 hours in a day, they are supposed to give you a 30 minute meal break.

This is part of the reason a blind eye is turned to illegal immigration, Americans are getting to be too lazy to do anything.
Make life inconvenient for them, and search for a new job, one where everyone pulls their weight. Sounds like that place would fall apart without you.
